A Thank You To Legends- Donal Vaughan and David Clarke

It’s always a sad day when players decide to hang up there boots.
When you’ve known the lads for so long you see them as of they are your family member.
After remarkable careers Donal Vaughan and David Clarke, two icons to have put on the green and red jersey have called it a day.
With a combined total of 32 years experience between them,  Connaught Titles and 2 Division 1 titles, there isnt enough thank you’ s that can be given to them.
You can never replicate the feeling of pride and joy from Mayo fans when they cheer on the lads and the cheer when they score or save goals.
Both these men have saved the score line for us when needed most and cemented their names into the Mayo GAA history book as legends who’s boots will be very hard to fill for stars to come.
I look forward to see how the future holds for their club careers and how the life after intercounty football treats them.
It will be weird to not see the two names in the team line up but you have to think Clarke and Vaughan owe nothing after all they have given during their careers.
Happy retirement to David and Donal, thank you for everything.
