It may be a big weekend ahead in sports but there is only one match I am interested this coming Sunday.
After the brilliant win against Sligo I will be very surprised if Mayo don’t come out on top.
We have been on the lucky path so far in matches every upcoming match your thinking when of will the good luck stop.
So far this season I couldn’t be more elated with the players performances, last season when Horan introduced the fresh new talent at first you don’t know what you should expect but its safe to say the younger players are living up to expectations last season and this season.

When you compare these two teams you have one recently promoted to Division 1 and another all the way down at Division 4, a young/ experienced team vs a struggling inexperienced.
One thing I will be curious to see will more fans and a home advantage influence the players performance in any way, we all know how great the Mayo fans can be, could the more fans just give them the boost if its needed.
After outstanding performances from Darren McHale, Aidan O’Shea and Ryan O’Donoghue against Sligo, it will be interesting to see who will be the star on Sunday.

On Sunday it will be a 16 month wait finally over for fans to see our men play again and just knowing people can have that little sense of normality back again is brilliant to know, for me its been 545 days since my last match and when I get the opportunity to go again I know I’ll be there in a heartbeat.
With Mayo going into the match as favourites , like many fans I hope to see another Connaught final in our path.
I have no doubt Sunday will be yet another match where we realise how much we love Mayo GAA and I wish the best of luck to the lads on Sunday and I hope it will be one step closer to another Connaught Title in the trophy cabinet.
